Primo Geovishap Genshin Impact
Primo Geovishap is a newly-added boss battle in Genshin, and it is a part of the quest No Restoring This Past Land of Beauty you get in Liyue. In order to defeat Primo Geovishap efficiently, you have to employ a specific strategy, which works best by using a certain type of elemental Shield. It can get a little tricky, so to help you out, here’s our Primo Geovishap Genshin Impact guide.
How to Defeat Primo Geovishap in Genshin Impact?
To defeat the Primo Geovishap in Genshin Impact, you have to use Shields to counter its Primordial Shower attack. Doing so will reflect the damage of the Shower back at the Geovishap, causing a significant amount of damage. If the Shield is of the Geo type, or the same element as the attack (it can be Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo), the counter-damage that the monster suffers will increase. Considering that the creature mixes up its attack type every so often, I’d suggest that going with a Geo shield character might be the way to go.
So, what you need to do in order to beat the Genshin Impact Primo Geovishap is to make sure that you have a character that can create a Geo Shield. Even a free character like Noelle is going to work like a charm. Of course, other characters like Zhongli that have the same power are perfectly viable. Every time the game flashes the instruction to use a Shield, do so, and watch the Geovishap’s health bar go down. You’ll even get an achievement the first time you execute the move. Rinse and repeat until you win.
Now, to be perfectly clear and honest, it’s perfectly possible to defeat the Genshin Impact Primo Geovishap without using the Shield strategy, if you have sufficiently powerful characters. However, it’s going to take forever; the monster takes very little damage from regular attacks comparatively. It just gets tedious. Either way, defeating the Geovishap will reward you with a bunch of materials. Among them is Juvenile Jade, which you need to upgrade the new character Xiao.
See I’m tryna get the achievement to defeat it without a shield, but my characters still produce crystallise shields even with no geo, so it’s still a nightmare with or without shields
