Playing with friends in co-op in Genshin Impact is a feature that lets you play with other people. However, the option to play Genshin Impact with friends is not available from the start. How to Unlock Play with Friends – Genshin Impact Co-Op
To unlock co-op in Genshin Impact and play with friends, you have to reach Adventure Rank 16 in solo play. Mind you, that’s not the same as Character Level. Those go up way quicker than Adventure Rank. That said, it probably won’t take you too long to get there, only a couple of hours. All you have to do is play and complete quests and open chests. You should probably focus on the main story this early, as completing these missions unlocks mechanics and items that will prove very useful in the future. If you need to check your Adventure Rank, it’s next to your name, birthday, and World Level. Incidentally, your Adventure Rank is apparently tied to your account, so keep that in mind.
Genshin Impact How to Invite & Join Friends
To invite and join friends in Genshin Impact, go into the pause menu and select Friends. From here, you can see a list of all your friends on the same platform that are currently online. Everyone else, you’ll have to add manually. To do that, you have to give them your UID number from the bottom right corner. They can give you theirs instead, too, of course. Just keep in mind that every person you want to add has to be Adventure Rank 16 first. You can add up to three friends to your party, which is fine and dandy. Unfortunately, this “mode” limits a lot of what you can do.
How to Play Genshin Impact in Co-Op with Friends
To play Genshin Impact in co-op with friends, you add them through the Friends tab in the menu if you’re all on Adventure Rank 16. That part we’ve covered, and that’s all hunky-dory. However, there are certain limitations that you have to be aware of. For one, when you’re playing Genshin Impact with friends, you can’t complete any of the main story missions. Moreover, if you’re playing in someone else’s game, you can’t open chest, pick up certain items, nor make offerings to the Seven. These are pretty major hindrances, so you have to keep them in mind. If you wanted to use co-op in Genshin Impact to progress through the game, well, it’s just not gonna happen.
Is There Cross-Play Co-Op in Genshin Impact
Yes, there absolutely is cross-play Genshin Impact. You can play with friends on other platforms, any platform that the game is available on. Again, all you have to do is add them via the UID number in the bottom right corner. Or, they can add you, whatever is easier for you. Then, just invite them to your game. Doesn’t matter whether they’re on PlayStation 4, PC, iOS, or Android. This is sure to add a lot of extra longevity to the game, even with all the restrictions that co-op play imposes.
