The easiest way to find it is to ignore the whole thing about the hunter. Instead, once you get to Springvale, find the large windmill. Then, clamber atop the cliff right behind it. Look to your left, and you should spot the chest among the conifer trees. If you aren’t sure where exactly this is, take a look at the screenshots below.
