Gears of War 4 - First 20 Minutes of Gameplay
The first official 20-minute gameplay video of Gears of War 4 was released today. It’s packed with action sequences, recognizable gears of war style shooting, chainsaws and some familiar characters.
The good old style has remained the same – you move from cover to cover while shooting hordes of enemies with your squadmates.
If you played the first Gears of War, you will notice a very familiar location in this video – The House of Sovereigns. You may remember it as the second mission in Gears of War, as you search for and use the famous Hammer of Dawn to take down your enemies.
In this video, we see Victor Hoffman, commander of Fenix and Delta squad and one of the best COG officers alive. Then there’s Dominic Santiago, also known as Dom, and the memorable Lieutenant Minh Young Kim as he fights in front of House of Sovereigns.
Gears of War 4 is set 25 years after the events of the previous game. As humanity is slowly rebuilding, a new new threat called The Swarm arrives. This time we will be able to control James Dominic Fenix, son of Marcus Fenix (hero of Gears of War 1), accompanied by Kait Diaz and Delmont Walker.
The good news is that the split screen feature will be available, and you will be able to play with friends if you have more than one controller. As in previous games, there will be tons of achievement for you to unlock.
Gears of War 4 will be released on October 11th for Xbox One and PC. If you get the ultimate edition, you will have a chance to play it 4 days early, on October 7th. Preorders of the game also include exclusive character and weapon skins such as Zombie Dom, Old Man Marcus and Tomorrow Anya.
