The new update for Fortnite is out, and does it bring some interesting stuff with it. Patch 1.4 is going to be a lot of fun. Certainly, the most exciting part is the Infinity Gauntlet in Battle Royale. For a limited time, Fortnite is meeting up with Infinity War. Soon after the match begins, a comet streaks across the map and smashes into the ground. The first player to reach it transforms into Thanos, and my god, do things get hectic. Thanos can jump high into the air and slam into the ground dealing AOE damage, shoot rays from the gauntlet, and even destroy objects and kill other players with his bare hands. Additionally, killing people replenishes Thanos’s shield. There’s no way for Thanos to replenish health, though, so he is killable; it’s just extremely difficult.

Then, of course, there’s the new challenges for this week. Some of them are pretty self-explanatory, like consuming Hop Rocks (aka, the rocks that appear in craters and make you jump really high) and eliminating opponents in Tomato Town. There are, however, those that can prove to be a bit more of a challenge, such as Search Between a Scarecrow, Pink Hotrod & Big Screen, Dance In Front of Different Cameras, and Search Chests in Greasy Grove. Further adding to the anarchy, the maximum match length is now fifteen minutes. Everything takes place very quickly, and adding Thanos to the mix turns the whole thing into glorious bedlam.

There’s a ton of other stuff added to both the Battle Royale Mode and Save the World Mode. For the full patch notes, you can head over to the official Epic Games website.
