The new patch for Fortnite is out, bringing the game up to version 3.3. As is the case with these updates, the patch brings a bunch of different adjustments and bug fixes to both Battle Royale mode and Save the World mode. But, of course, that’s not all. It’s also adding a new, limited time mode to Battle Royale (which won’t go live for another few days), a new weapon, challenges, and so on. The new challenges include Search Chests in Flush Factory, Visit different Ice Cream Trucks, Search between a Vehicle Tower, Rock Sculpture, and a Circle of Hedges, and others. As for Save the World, there’s a new hero, the Shamrock Reclaimer Outlander, and more.

Focusing solely on Battle Royale now. The new weapon that you’ll be able to play around with is the Remote Explosive. It’s exactly what it says – explosives that you place, then activate from afar by pushing a button. You can use it to bring down fortresses instantly, lay traps for other players, and just cause general mayhem. They are of Rare rarity. You can get it from Treasure Chests, Floor Loot, Supply Drops, and the newly-added Supply Llamas. The Remote Explosives even got a trailer of their own, which you can check out below. Head forth, and wreck somebody.

Then, we have the new limited time mode, called Blitz. Now, to play this mode, you will have to wait a few days, as it will be enabled on March 19th. Basically, it will reduce the length of the match severely, to a maximum of 15 minutes. In fact, the storm will already be closing in as the match starts. For more info, you can check out the patch notes on the official Fortnite website.
