The Playground limited-time mode in Fortnite is going to stick around until Thursday, July 12th. The developers are then going to pull it, but not for good. Epic Games have announced via Reddit that they’ll be taking down the Playground Mode on Thursday, July 12th. Now, those of you that don’t want to see the Playground mode to go away, don’t you worry. It’s definitely coming back, bigger and better. According to the same post, Epic is going to work even more on the mode, and add new stuff to make it even more fun. Or, as they put it: “For the next version of Playground we’re hoping to include functionality that would allow team selection options within the Playground itself.”

The post goes on to detail some of the functionalities that they want to add. For one, you’ll be able to duke it out in 1v1 and 2v2 battles. They’re also going to bring in aiming assist for controllers, the ability to edit other people’s structures, highlighting teammates on the map, and the ability to damage enemies with the pickaxe. Lastly, traps are going to affect allies and enemies correctly. And, best of all, it seems that Epic wants to make the Playground permanent; at least, according to a comment they made on Twitch and captured by Reddit user FoxPUBG.

Personally, I love the fact that Epic wants to make Playground a permanent mode. It can be so much fun, especially if you start inventing games to play with your friends, such as hide-and-seek with guns in Wailing Woods. It’s a blast, and I can’t wait for the other features to come in.
