One of these requires that you find and use a Vending Machine. But not just any vending machine – oh no, that would be too easy – but a Malfunctioning Vending Machine. Once you do encounter one, all you then need to do to complete this challenge is to buy a single item from it. But where can you find one of these machines? Where to Find Malfunctioning Vending Machine in Fortnite

First, to explain what a Malfunctioning Vending Machine is and how it is different from a regular Vending Machine. A normal working Vending Machine is colored blue. In contrast, a Malfunctioning one is colored red and will have a big exclamation mark on it. But where can you find one of these? The issue with the Malfunctioning machines is that they can appear anywhere on the map where a regular Vending Machine is. This means that you can spend a lot of time searching for one without getting lucky.

So, while it is not guaranteed that you will locate one in a single match, there are things you can do to maximize your odds of finding it. The best thing you can do here is to immediately head to a place that has several Vending Machines as soon as the match starts. Coney Crossroads and Sleepy Sound are both good choices for this. Each of these locations has three Vending Machines there, and they are both in close proximity to one another. This means that, when you have searched one, it’s very easy to go to the other location and continue your search there.
