Fortnite BR How to Get Jetpack & Use Backpack Items
Jetpacks have finally been added to Fortnite Battle Royale. After all the delays, update v4.2 has brought us the backpack that lets you fly. It’s only going to be there for a limited time, but we don’t know how limited – hopefully until the end of the season. Of course, if it ends up being as overpowered as the guided rockets were, it’s probably going to get the axe soon, so don’t dawdle. If you’re confused about how it works, read on and we’ll tell you how to get jetpack in Fortnite BR, and how to use it.
Where to find jetpack?
You’ll be able to find jetpacks in treasure chests across the map. There are no set locations where you can go and grab one, like you could with the hop rocks. It’s a legendary item, and it’s the first in a new category, called Backpacks. It takes up an inventory slot, like all other active items, and you can move it around. You can only have one at a time, and they don’t stack. If you find another jetpack while wearing one (or any backpack) and pick it up, it will be automatically swapped with the one you have.
Having a backpack will hide your Back Bling, but it’ll reappear once you drop or use up the backpack. When the backpack is fully consumed, it will disappear – like bandages and first aid kits. From what we’ve heard about the jetpack, this doesn’t apply to it – it doesn’t have fuel and cannot be consumed. We may be wrong on this one, though.
How to use jetpack?
To start the jetpack, jump while you’re in the air. It will use up fuel, so you can only fly for a limited time. Once you’re on the ground again, it will start recharging. It’s unclear whether you can use it before it’s fully charged again. Also, you won’t be able to use targeting mode while you’re flying
