White Screen Glitch Fortnite Fix
The Fortnite white screen drifting glitch is one of the recurring issues in the battle royale. Fortnite is still one of the most popular games in the world. That’s largely thanks to the constant updates and influx of new content. That’s fantastic, of course, but it can often lead to issues, such as the aforementioned bug. If you are stuck on a white screen when loading Fortnite, here’s how to fix the issue.
How to Fix Fortnite White Screen Glitch
If you are asking yourself “Why is my Fortnite screen white?” the answer is fairly simple. In the vast majority of cases, the problem will disappear after you restart the game. If that doesn’t help, then restarting your PC or console should do the trick. Finally, only if nothing of the above works, as the last option you should reinstall Fortnite. But, as we already mentioned, you will most likely need not to do that.
The white screen issue in Fornite first started appearing in April 2021. Back then, it was a Switch-related issue but since then it has spread to other platforms as well. It is the most prominent around big updates, due to a huge number of players trying to log into the game at the same time.
In December 2021, the issue was acknowledged by Epic Games. They are aware of the problem and are working on permanently fixing it. However, at the time of writing, the problem occasionally still reemerges. But, luckily, as we’ve explained, it is one of the easier problems to solve. That’s probably the reason why it’s not a high priority for the developers to solve it. Nonetheless, it is still an annoying issue and we hope to see it fixed soon. Another similar issue is the one where players are stuck on the “Checking for Updates” screen, for which we also have a solution.
