Fortnite Sideways Scythe - How to Get & Upgrade to Mythic
One of the new things introduced in Fortnite Season 8, was the Sideways Scythe. This powerful melee weapon is, of course, connected to the Sideways. These anomalous zones all over the Island are filled with monsters, but can also be rewarding for players who know what they are doing. The weapon itself has been created by the Cube Queen’s wrath. How to Get Sideways Scythe Fortnite
To get the Sideways Scythe in Fortnite, you will have to head inside one of the Sideways zones. These spawn all over the map, so when you begin a match, open up your map and look for them. Go inside and be ready for a fight, there are many monsters here. You don’t need to take them on, as you will get the Sideways Scythe from a Sideways chest. Besides here, you can also receive it by defeating the new Caretaker monster. It is located in The Convergence (middle of the map). Be warned, as this is a pretty tough battle.
How to Upgrade Scythe to Mythic in Fortnite
The Sideways Scythe can be found in five different rarities. The more rare it is, the higher the damage output it will deal. The Scythe also heals the player upon delivering a killing blow. To upgrade the Sideways Scythe to Mythic level, you will need to eliminate Sideways monsters. These drop Cube Parts, which are used to upgrade it. You will need the following amount of these:
- Uncommon (green-colored) to Rare (blue-colored) requires 15 Cube Monster parts.
- Rare (blue-colored) to Epic (purple-colored) requires 20 Cube Monster Parts.
- Epic (purple-colored) to Legendary (orange-colored) requires 25 Cube Monster Parts.
- Legendary (orange-colored) to Mythic (gold-colored) requires 50 Cube Monster Parts.
