Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition Will Support Xbox One Cross-Play
The Windows Edition of Final Fantasy XV will include all of the extra content that has been released for the existing versions. On top of that, it will support cross play with Xbox One, including Xbox Live online cross-platform co-op, Xbox Live cloud saves, presence, and achievements. FFXV Windows Edition comes out in a month, on March 6th, 2018.
Fans of Final Fantasy have been clamoring for a PC version of FFXV ever since it launched. Square Enix has been promising a PC launch for a good, long while, before we finally learned that the Windows Edition will launch on March 6th. It comes with all of the additional content that has been released for the already-existing platforms. This includes all of the DLC episodes and the Comrades multiplayer expansion. You’ll also get “Chapter 13 alternate route, off-road Regalia customisation, character swap feature and more,” as the store listing points out.
What’s also interesting, though, is that the Windows Edition of Final Fantasy XV will support cross-play with Xbox One. There’s several Xbox Live features that you’ll have access to, so, let’s go through them, as per the store listing. You’ll be able to make use of Xbox Live online co-op (2-4), Xbox Live cross-platform co-op, achievements, cloud saves, and Xbox Live presence. So, yeah, you’ll have access to a lot of features that Xbox players have. Plus, if you have friends that are playing FFXV on Xbox One, you’ll be able to play along with them.
Of course, this is all on top of other features, such as HDR support, as well as 4K Ultra HD. And you’ll have access to all of the stuff that the console players had to pay extra for. All of that for $50, at least for now, in the pre-order period.
