FF15 Upgradeable weapons - Cid Sophiar, Master Mechanic

Final Fantasy XV has a set of unique weapons you can upgrade to a better version through the side quests in Hammerhead Outpost. In this guide, you will find the full list of weapons that can be upgraded, what the quest requirements are, which materials you’ll need and when you can start the weapon upgrades.

When you meet Cid in Hammerhead Outpost for the first time, finish the quest called “Cid Sophiar, Master Mechanic” and you will learn that he can modify mechanized weapons. From that point on, you can talk to him and upgrade the weapons from the list below.
