How to Start FFXV Comrades Multiplayer Expansion
Final Fantasy XV Comrades, the multiplayer expansion, is finally out! The Comrades expansion in FFXV can be played solo in both offline and online mode, and it comes as a part of the season pass. You can also buy it as a standalone DLC (in this case, you still need a full game). The Comrades multiplayer expansion has around 8GB, so make sure to have enough HD space. In this article, we’ll show you where to find and download FFXV Comrades, and how to start the multiplayer expansion.
Where to find & download FFXV Comrades
To download Final Fantasy XV Comrades, go to the store, and type “Comrades”. This will bring up the “FFXV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades” option. Choose this option, and you’ll be brought to the add-on page. Here, you can pick up the option to download it. This is just one of the many ways to download this type of add-on. Once in the game, in the main menu, you can also choose the option for downloadable content, or the store button.
Note: If you don’t see the Comrades expansion in the store, try restarting the console, especially if you’ve been playing it for a while. The updates on all stores should be up, along with the ability to download the multiplayer expansion.
Note 2: You’ll know you are on the right track once you start the game and get the message saying that bonus content has been unlocked. This happens just before the main menu screen.
Note 3: Despite the fact that you need an internet connection to download Comrades, you can play without a constant connection. The only “side” effect is that, during that time, only AI comrades can be recruited. Some might say that’s a good thing.
How to begin Final Fantasy Multiplayer
Final Fantasy XV Comrades Multiplayer Expansion can be started from the main game screen. To start this particular add-on, go to the Downloadable Content option. Next to the previous companion episodes, you can see the new Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades. Simply choose this option, and you’ll be able to begin playing it in a bit, just after a couple of introduction scenes.
Note: You don’t need to have the main story campaign completed in order to play Comrades. The game will warn you that the events of the expansion occur during the story, and that completing the same is recommended for the best experience. Just like for other character episodes. If you choose not to return to the title, Comrades starts.
