Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Sale Starts Today
The Final Fantasy series is turning thirty. That’s quite a lot, in videogame years. Square Enix have decided to celebrate the occasion by organizing a sale. Almost every Final Fantasy title known to man is going to be sold at a discounted price in the next few days. It’s a great opportunity for those that have been looking to take the plunge, as well as older players who’ve lost their copies. Or borrowed them to that one cousin who never returns stuff.
The discounts don’t go lower than 50%, which is kinda ridiculous, seeing how some of these games are older than the people they’re trying to sell them to. Don’t be stingy Square. Nobody likes that. At the moment of writing, the sale has only started at the Square Enix Online Store.
Thankfully, it’s going to spread. Here are the start and end times across different stores and time zones:
Store Name | Start Time | End Time |
---|---|---|
Square Enix Estore Europe | 9AM GMT, February 13th | 5PM GMT, February 20th |
Square Enix Estore North America | 9AM PST, February 13th | 5PM PST February 20th |
Xbox Store | 12AM PST, February 14th | 11:59PM PST, February 20th |
Playstation Store North America | 8AM PST, February 14th | 8AM PST, February 21st |
Steam | 10AM PST, February 14th | 10AM PST, February 20th |
Playstation Store (ROW) | 00:00 UTC, February 15th | 23:59 UTC, February 22nd |
Sadly, Final Fantasy XV is missing, but that was to be expected. Nobody puts a game on sale two months after its initial release unless their in dire straits. With the number of copies FFXV has shipped, it’s unlikely the game is going to have a price cut anytime soon.
Here’s a full list of titles that are on sale, though:
- Final Fantasy III
- Final Fantasy IV
- Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
- Final Fantasy V
- Final Fantasy VI
- Final Fantasy VII
- Final Fantasy VIII
- Final Fantasy IX
- Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster
- Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection: Seekers Edition
