Final Fantasy XV Will Have Simultaneous Worldwide Launch
In a recent interview with Gamespot, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has announced that the game will be released simultaneously everywhere. This is the first title in the series that isn’t going to come out in Japan months ahead of the rest of the world.
This may be something that we are little bit embarrassed to talk about, but really, this is the first time that we’ve done a packaged, standalone Final Fantasy game with a simultaneous global launch, so we didn’t have the setup to deal with that, really. The exact release date is still unknown, but the talks at Gamescom this year, the developers have said they’re aiming for a 2016 launch. The first thing we had to do was rearrange our internal structure to create something that could do that. That was the first important work on the project.
