Final Fantasy XV VR Sections Announced
During E3 2016, Sony have announced that Final Fantasy XV will be compatible with Playstation VR, and will contain a mode designed for the headset. The new trailer showcases what it looks like.
The video starts off with some regular FFXV footage, to warm up the crowd.
On the other hand, there’s also a scene where you’re in the passanger seat of a car, riding through a canyon, which could be nice. Certainly more pleasing to the senses than playing a Prompto-rail-shooter.
Final Fantasy XV is going to be released on September 30th on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and it’s going to have PS VR support as soon as its out. There’s no talk of a PC version for now, but it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if they decided to port it a bit later.

It then switches to the Final Fantasy VR Experience, as the mode is called. You can gather from the footage that you’ll be able to play as Prompto during some battles, but it seems like an extremely underwhelming experience. All he does in the video is teleport between several spots and shoot at the boss. There’s not even a hint of free movement during the battle.
