Final Fantasy XV Main Quest Royal Arms

  • Sword of the Wise – Main quest: Legacy

  • Blade of the Mystic – Main quest: The Archaean
  • Katana of the Warrior – Main quest: The hand of the King
  • Trident of the Oracle – Main quest: Breath of the Glacian
  • Sword of the Father – Main quest: A King’s struggle

Missable Royal Arms in FF 15

The other half of the Armiger arsenal is rotting away in dungeons across Lucis. They can be missed, stopping you from unlocking the Faithful Heir trophy in your first playthrough. Here’s a list:

  • Mace of the Fierce – Dungeon: Rock of Ravatogh
  • Star of the Rogue – Dungeon: Myrlwood
  • Scepter of the Pious – Dungeon: Malmalam Thichket
  • Bow of the Clever – Dungeon: Balouve Mines
  • Shield of the Just – Open world
  • Greatsword of the Tall – Dungeon: Costlemark Tower

FFXV Mace of the Fierce

The Mace is hidden inside the Rock of Ravatogh dungeon. The entrance to this dungeon is on the side of the giant volcano in the westernmost part of the map. When you get near it, you’ll get a quest and the dungeon will be marked on your map. Enter it and follow the path up the mountain until you reach the crypt.

The mace does a decent amount of damage, at a decent rate. It also adds a bunch of health and lowers you bullet resistance.

Star of the Rogue

The star is also in a dungeon. This time, you’ll have to travel to the northwest. This armiger is located in Myrlwood, a dungeon just south of Vesperpool, the giant lake in the upper left corner of the map. You’ll have to defeat a level 38 Treant to get to the tomb.

The star might be the weakest of the entire arsenal, but it has its perks. It increases elemental resistances and has a pretty unique move set.

Scepter of the Pious

You’ll find the scepter in a dusty tomb in the southwestern corner of the world. The crypt can be found at the end of Malmalam Thichket, a dungeon with lots of wasps. The final boss of the dungeon is a level 38 Bandersnatch. After you defeat him, just walk into the tomb and interact with the sarcophagus.

When using it, you’ll get greatly improved dark resistance, along with a boost to your magic.

Bow of the Clever

Balouve Mines is a dungeon in Leide, the starting area. Even though you can discover it early on, the monsters inside are very high level. There’s no way to clear it out without coming back later. When you reach the end, you’ll have to face a level 52 Aramusha. Bring lots of Phoenix Downs.

The crossbow doesn’t do much damage, but it lets you attack from a distance, while also improving your bullet resistance and magic.

Shield of the Just

The shield is located in a dense forest, and it’s pretty easy to miss. There’s no dungeon here, nothing to draw the attention of passersby. The place is called Thommels Glade, and it’s west of Cauthess, the Disc. It’s near Saxham Outpost, guarded by some Coeurls. You can probably even sneak by them, without engaging in combat.

The shield is great protection – it increases all of your resistances and speeds up HP regeneration while it’s raised. Using it will also improve your health and vitality. If you decide to smack enemies with it, you’ll see its damage output isn’t half bad.

Greatsword of the Tall

This one is the hardest to obtain. It’s hidden in Costlemark Tower, a dangerous high level dungeon with deadly enemies and devious puzzles. The dungeon entrance can be found to the southeast of Cauthess, the Disc, directyl south of the chocobo circuit, in an area called Fallgrove. You’ll get it once you defeat the dungeon boss, a level 58 Jabberwock.

The sword is really massive and slow. It does crazy amounts of damage and increases your health, but at the same time, it lowers your resistances considerably.

Also my B3F in Balouve mines doesn’t look like the B3F in the video. Don’t get me wrong, I found your area, maybe they updated the map or something, but there is a whole chunk skipped over between the elevator and the section where the boss fight is referenced.

If you’re stuck where I think you are, you need to go to the boss room, and searth along the more north-eastern walls for a crevasse to squeeze between. It’ll open up to a new area not shown in the map. You can tell if you’re on the correct level of the boss room (It’s a very tall room) by watching the quest waypoint and seeing if you’re above/below it — you should be right about the same height of it instead.
