How to Do the Griddy in FIFA 23

To do the new Griddy celebration in FIFA 23, you have to do a very precise sequence of button inputs. On PlayStation 4 and 5 (and on the PlayStation controller in general) you need to hold R2 and then flick your right stick up twice. So, flick it up, let it go back to the neutral position, and flick it upwards again. On the Xbox controller, it’s the exact same thing. The only difference is that you have to hold the right trigger, or RT. Last, and certainly not least, the inputs are identical on the Nintendo Switch. Again, the only thing that changes is the name of the button you have to hold. In this case, it’s called ZR. You might need a few tries to get your timing down.

So, there you have it, that’s how you do the new Griddy celebration in FIFA 23 after you score a goal. Again, the only real problem is figuring out when to do the input. Basically, as soon as you score and your players start running towards the corner flag, hold the shoulder button and flick the right stick upwards twice. This technically triggers a cutscene, so you can skip the celebration if you want to. I don’t know why you would, but you do have the option. Either way, it’s interesting that they’ve decided to include a dance move that’s heavily associated with American football and not really soccer (or “regular” football, if you will). It’s just one of several new celebrations, by the way.
