Far Cry 5 Prepper Stash Locations in John's Region

Prepper stashes are one of the most important locations in Far Cry 5. They’re secret hiding spots, each of which contains three perk magazines and some additional goodies. If you want to unlock as much skills as possible, you’ll need to find them all. There’s about a dozen of them in Holland Valley, which is John’s region. Since we want to help you find them all, we’re going to list all Far Cry 5 prepper stash locations in John’s region here.

There are prepper stashes in Jacob’s region as well. We’ve written about the Faith’s region prepper stashes, too, if that’s what’s causing you trouble.

Swingers prepper stash

This one is at the southwest end of the Bridge of Tears, east of Rae-Rae’s Pumpkin Farm. The note that starts the quest is on the west side of the river, while the stash itself is on the eastern bank. You’ll need to use your grappling hook to travel the underside of the bridge, swinging from one support beam to another, until you reach the hiding spot.

Hight Tension prepper stash

This one starts off at the Lincoln Lookout Tower, a bit southwest of Rae-Rae’ Pumpking farm. The stash itself is in a silo southeast from the tower. When you find the note, simply use the ziplines to get from one platform to another, until you’re in the silo.

DIY and DOA prepper stash

This stash is in a bunker in the hills north of the Lamb of God Church. The bunker’s entrance is in a shack behind the house – you’ll need a key from the house in order to enter the shack. It’s on the dresser in the bedroom. Once you’re in the bunker, you’ll see a locked door that requires power. Just go around the bunker, springing traps and activating defense mechanisms. After a while, the bunker will start burning, and the sprinklers will activate, opening up the locked door.

Deep Dive prepper stash

This one is in a bunker a bit northwest of Rye & Sons Aviation. The hatch is next to a locked shack. Once you’re down there, you’ll need to break some boards to get to the room with the safe. The magazines will be on a shelf next to it.

Playing With Fire prepper stash

The next stash is just a short walk north from the previous one, halfway between Lamb of God Church and Fall’s End. It’s in a big drain pipe that goes under a road. Before you enter, you’ll need to grab the key from the body near the entrance. Once you have it, just follow the tunnel to the locked area – the magazines are on the table. Oh, and watch out for the beastie.

Foxhole prepper stash

While you’re in the area, you can also tackle this one, which is a bit east from Lamb of God Church. It’s at an outpost called Sunrise Farm, which is just a burning house. Jump into the house through the only open window (the one behind the starting note) and head left. Keep following the outer walls of the house until you reach the trap door. Enter the bunker and look for the magazines on a green table.

Dumpster Diving prepper stash

You’ll find this one in Dodd’s Dumps, in the hills north of Fall’s End. You’ll find the starting note by the trailer in front of the compound, but you’ll have to enter from the back, through a passage hidden behind some bushes. You’ll immediately see a locked door. Go past it, into the main hall. Pull the yellow switch to the left of the wire mesh gate, and you’ll turn the power on. Now you need to head back to the door, but you mustn’t stand on the floor – it’s electrified. Use boxes, shelves and such to pass. Once you’re in the bunker, you’ll see the magazines on a weapons crate next to the table.

Long Range Lockpick prepper stash

This one starts at the tower north of Fall’s End. You’ll have to climb the tower where the magazines are, use the zipline to cross the water, then jump onto the higher platform and turn around. You’ll see the door of the original tower through a window – use a long range weapon to shoot the lock. This will unlock the door, so you just have to swim back and loot the building. The magazines will be next to the corpse.

Man Cave prepper stash

Follow the road east of Fall’s End until you hit the river. The stash is at Sunrise Threshing, the farm at the bend, in the garage behind the case with the note. Climb the garage and look at the gate of the little enclosure around it. Shoot the padlock to open it. Back up into the trailer with a truck, and move it from the trap door. Jump down into the bunker, and climb the ladder on the opposite side. You’ll end up in the garage. The magazines will be on the lowest shelf.

Fire In The Hole prepper stash

This one is hidden deep within the mine near Wellington Residence, in the southeastern part of Holland Valley. You’ll find the note in front of a run-down shack – enter the shack and look for a hole on your left. Go down the ladder and you’ll end up in the mine. Now explore the tunnels until you reach a chamber with water pouring through the wall. Use explosives to widen the hole, which will fill the room with water. Now swim across to the other side, and you’ll end up in the room with the magazines.

Vespiary prepper stash

You’ll find this one in the Grain Elevator next to Lorna’s Truck Stop, in the far eastern part of Jonh’s region. Climb the building behind the note and break the boards on the window to enter. Drop down to the lowest floor, then climb the crates and break the other set of boards, which will allow you into the neighbouring building. Once you’re there, simply follow the beams and platforms to the top. You’ll find the magazines on a shelf.
