Fallout 76 Ceramic Locations - How to Get
Ceramic is one of the crafting materials in Fallout 76. It’s required for a lot of more advanced machines, especially ones that use electricity. You’ll need a whole bunch of it if you want to expand your base and set up water production and stuff. Some people are confused about how to get ceramic, which is why we’ve written this Fallout 76 ceramic locations guide, to help you establish your very own base camp in the Appalachia.
How to get ceramic in Fallout 76?
The first problem is that you won’t be able to find ceramic in its base form around the game world. You might expect to mine it from ceramic nodes in the environment, or grab it from chests and other containers, but it simply won’t happen. Instead, you’ll have to create it from junk items.
Collect ceramic junk items – vases, plates, cups and mugs – then scrap them to get the material itself. The amount of materials you get will depend on the size of the item usually, but you should collect pretty much everything that isn’t nailed down. There’s even a button in the inventory that allows you to scrap your entire junk tab, which helps save time.
When you’re in the crafting menu, you can select a material and press a button to track it. This will mark on your map any item that has that material as a component, which makes collecting them quite a bit easier.
Since nukes and other players are a thing now, you’ll never be able to stop collecting crafting materials. There’s no point at which your base will be complete, with defences that can hold off the evils of the wasteland. This time, the evils are other people, and they’re not as easy to outsmart as deathclaw AI. You will constantly have to rebuild, which means constantly harvesting more and more. Leave no mug unturned, no plate unbroken.
