For better or worse, Fallout 76 is going to gun for a multiplayer experience. I know that many people are less than happy about this development, but it is what it is. As is customary with online multiplayer games, Fallout 76 is going to have a beta before launch. Or as they call it, Break it Early Test Application, or B.E.T.A. for short. The beta currently doesn’t have a launch date, but we do know some other details concerning it, thanks to the Fallout 76 Beta FAQ on the game’s web page.

For one, the beta is going to be an Xbox One timed exclusive. Sure, it will also come to the PlayStation 4 and PC (via Bethesda.net), just at a later date. In order to participate in the Beta at all, you’re going to have to pre-order Fallout 76. If you pre-order via digital store, you’ll automatically get access to the beta on the account you’ve used to pre-order. On the other hand, if you pre-order at a participating retailer, you’re going to get a code that you’ll have to redeem on Bethesda’s website. The code will be either on your receipt or you’ll get it via email confirmation. After you do that, at a later date, you’ll get the official access code to the email you’ve used to make an account and redeem the code.

We’ll provide you with further details of the Fallout 76 beta as they become available. As for the full game, it’s coming out on November 14th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
