Where to find Dogmeat | Fallout 4

Dogmeat is the dog companion in Fallout 4. You can find him early on in the game, and he proves to be a valuable ally and a good friend. In this guide, we’re going to show you where to find Dogmeat in Fallout 4, and what you can use him for.

Dogmeat Location

You can find the dog very early on, after you’ve left the Vault. Go down to Sanctuary Hills, the place you lived before the war. Go a bit south-east, and look for a gas station with a Red Rocket neon sign. Dogmeat will be there, next to the petrol pumps.

Dogmeat Commands

He’ll aid you in combat by biting enemies, sometimes even crippling their limbs. Outside of battle, you’ll be able to send him to fetch items, talk to him, send him to certain positions or make him wait for you.
Commands: Get, Go, Inspect, Stay.
