Fallout 4 Free 1.9 Update, High-Res Texture Pack & PS4 Pro Support
With the first week of February, players can expect major updates for Fallout 4. These updates are not exclusive for any console or PC. You’ll see the updates make an impact across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Players can count on new features for Mod content as well.
This update will be free for everyone according to Matt Grandstaff, the Global Community Lead at Bethesda, on the official web page. You don’t need to buy the update, nor own any of the special editions, just the main game. You’ll get to enjoy the game in its full glory on the PS4 Pro now as well. PC users will also get their share of goodies, as the free update will also have something for the users of good setups.
This update allows the PS4 Pro to support Fallout 4. The PS4 Pro update provides enhanced lighting and graphic features, including:
- Native 1440p resolution
- Enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs
- Enhanced Godray effects
High Resolution Texture Pack for Fallout 4 on PC
The update comes after the 1.8 update that was released three months ago, on November 7. It offered several bug fixes and some mod features.
Saying this is a major update is not an overstatement. Not at all, considering it is 58 GB heavy. If you want to enjoy its full glory, you’ll need to save the HD space for its content.
Consider this free download a love letter to our amazing PC fans that have supported us โ not just with Fallout 4, but across multiple decades and games.
This pack is not a part of the main update, and will not download itself. You’ll need to download it manually. Before you do so, be sure to double-check if your PC can handle the new textures. According to Bethesda, the recommended PC specs are:
- Operating System: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-5820K or better
- Graphic Card: GTX 1080 8GB
- RAM: 8GB+
Don’t bother with the High-Res Textures pack, it.. has issues. After installing it, the character Father became a racist… he was wearing blackface makeup. LOL. Kidding about that, but seriously, that’s what it looked like. I tried getting rid of all of my mods and it still did it… So after looking up on the internet, I found that the high-res textures are the problem. ๐ It sucks because when they work they are great, but they have these issues that make them unusable.
#Bethesda TrumpWare update , because only the rich can afford and utilize this ‘ #Fallout4 ‘ high-res PC textures Pack, enhanced PS4 Pro visuals … might as well just stick with free High-Res #Fallout4Mods from #Nexusmods , cuz like many others out there, I’m not $
#Bethesda catering to the elite rich who own latest and greatest #highEndGamingComputers
