Elder Scrolls Online Dragonhold DLC Trailer Released
Dragonhold is the latest DLC pack for Elder Scrolls Online. It has been released on PC and Mac in the last 24 hours, and it’s coming to consoles on November 5th. It is the last part of the Season of The Dragon – I’m relieved it’s over, as I’ve been pretty sick of dragons in ES for a fair while now. You, on the other hand, might be sad to see them go, even though you’re the one that’s going to make them go. The developers at Bethesda have released a new trailer that shows off the new features, areas, characters and equipment.
Bethesda have been using dragons as a cheap stand-in for properly written villains since Skyrim, and now they’ve infected ESO as well. There’s no doubt in my mind dragons will play a role in ES6 as well – not enough people seem to mind them, and they’re great bad guy fodder. They’re big, scaly, scary, with teeth and fire glands and gravely voices – everything about them just screams BAD.
Anyways, Dragonhold will let you exterminate them “once and for all*”. You’ll join forces with Sai Sahan and help him reform the Dragonguard, all the while solving the many side quests in the lush forests of Southern Elsweyr. While doing so, you’ll uncover new collectibles, weapons, powers and armor (three zone sets and three crafted ones). The marketing materials show what seems to be glass armor in a lot of instances, so we’re hoping we’ll get to don the fancy greenish outfits once again.
If you’re a ESO Plus subscriber, you’ll get the DLC for free. If not, you’ll have to buy it separately – the regular version is 2000 Crowns, while the collector’s edition costs 4000 Crowns.
*Until the next major single player installment or series of ESO expansions.
