Will Elder Scrolls 6 Be on PS5
A portion of the ES fandom want to know will Elder Scrolls 6 be on PS5, and by portion, I mean all of you who purchased the new PlayStation. Of course you’ll want to play the next installment in your beloved franchise on the platform of your choice. However, given the current landscape of the gaming world, will you be able to do so? Let’s try and find out.
Will Elder Scrolls 6 Be on PS5
No, Elder Scrolls 6 will most likely not be on the PS5, or whatever PlayStation we end up on when the game finally launches. According to Bethesda, the next installment in the franchise is still very early in the development process; in fact, it’s still in pre-production. So, we won’t be seeing it any time soon. However, as it stands at time of writing, Bethesda is a part of Microsoft. Therefore, it’s very safe to assume that their games will be Xbox and PC exclusives. I don’t know which version of the Xbox we’ll be on by the time the launch of ES 6 rolls around, but I’d wager there will still be a version for the Series X/S. The PlayStation 5, on the other hand? I’d say the odds are really slim.
Of course, the thing to remember about the discourse of will Elder Scrolls 6 be on PS5 is that it’s all speculation at this point. It’s going to be years until it’s ready to go; I don’t think it will release before 2025 at the earliest. Who knows what’s going to happen until then? And who knows what Microsoft has planned in terms of business policy? Maybe they’ll decide to have Elder Scrolls 6 (and Fallout 5 after it) as timed exclusives on PC and Xbox, with a PlayStation version coming out later down the line. It’s a long shot, but it could happen. What I am fairly certain of, though, is that there won’t be a Switch version.
