Elden Ring Mohg Great Rune, How to Get & Activate
In Elden Ring, the Great Runes are some of the most powerful items you will be able to acquire. Since the only way you will be able to obtain them is by defeating the Demigod Bosses – which include the most deadly creatures in the entire game – this is to be expected. Though, simply getting them is only half the process. After that, you need to figure out how to activate them. Doing this will unlock and bestow you their power. One such Great Rune is the Mohg Great Rune, and we will show you how to get and activate it in Elden Ring.
How to Get Mohg Great Rune in Elden Ring
To be able to get the Mohg Great Rune, you will, naturally, first need to find and defeat Mohg, Lord of Blood. This Demigod Boss is located in Mohgwyn Palace. This is a sort of secret area in the game (and thus completely optional), and it can be very hard to locate and enter. Luckily for you, our How to Get to Mohgwyn Palace guide explains how you can travel there.
How to Activate Mohg Great Rune in Elden Ring
Once you have the Mohg Great Rune in your possession, you will then want to activate it. To accomplish the Mohg Great Rune activation, head to the Divine Tower of East Altus. Before you can get inside the tower itself, you will have to defeat the Fell Twins boss(es) guarding it. When you have done so, go inside, and take the elevator to the top. There, you will see a floating red symbol. When you approach it, you will be given the option to restore the power to the Mohg Great Rune. This restored Great Rune: “Grants a blessing of blood to phantoms.” What this means is that, whenever one of your summons kills something, you will get HP from it.
Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
