How to Get to Rold Route Elden Ring, Grand Lift of Rold
If you’re having trouble finding out how to get to Elden Ring Rold Route or Grand Lift of Rold, I don’t blame you. The game does a pretty bad job of explaining this, even by Soulsborne standards of cryptic clues and storytelling. That’s why we’ve decided to put together this guide, in which we’ll show you how to get to the Rold Route in Elden Ring. It’s quite a trek, so buckle up.
How to Get to the Rold Route in Elden Ring
To get to the Rold Route in Elden Ring, aka the Grand Lift of Rold, the first thing you need to do is get to Leyndell, Capital City. Then, proceed through the area until you’ve killed Morgott, The Omen King. Then and only then will you be able to open the double doors that lead towards the lift. So, once you beat this boss, head back to the Avenue Balcony site of grace. From there, head up the stairs to your left, then take another left at the top. Follow this path until you go through the big double doors.
Keep heading straight and climb all the way up the long, slightly curving staircase. Head a little further down this path, then head left into the doorway with two hooded statues on either side. Pull the lever and ride the elevator all the way to the top. The next step to get to the Grand Lift of Rold route in Elden Ring is to head up the statue-bordered staircase and just keep going straight and into the huge tower in front of you. In the center of it is another lift, activated by standing on the button in the middle.
Exit the elevator through the door in the east, and you’ll find yourself in the Forbidden Lands. Now, follow the road marked for you on the map. It leads east and then slowly turns to the north. Slay the Black Blade Kindred and follow the path up to the Grand Lift of Rold. It leads you to the Mountaintops of the Giants, but if you have the Haligtree Secret Medallion, it can take you to Consecrated Snowfield.
Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
