Elden Ring Antspur Rapier, Maleigh Marais Armor Location
The Elden Ring Antspur Rapier and Maleigh Marais Armor location are actually in the same place; as in, they both drop from the same hostile NPC. The armor itself is interesting in its own way, but the rapier is arguably one of the most powerful weapons you can get in the game. Why? Because it inflicts Scarlet Rot, even on bosses. You can imagine how handy that can be. So, without further ado, let’s dive straight in.
How to Get Antspur Rapier & Marais Armor in Elden Ring
To get the Antspur Rapier and Maleigh Marais Armor in Elden Ring, you need to go to the location we’ll show you below. Basically, it’s the open field west of The Shaded Castle in the Altus Plateau. To get there, you need to go up the Grand Lift of Dectus, then follow the edge of the canyon on your left to the bottom. Once you get all the way down, just go north. You might have to wind around some obstacles, but just keep heading north as true as you can. At one point, you will have to go slightly to the east, but eventually, you should end up at the Shaded Castle just fine. Feel free to explore it a little and activate one of the sites of grace within in case you die in the ensuing battle.
The next step to get the Elden Ring Antspur Rapier and Maleigh Marais armor, you need to step onto the field west of the castle, as we’ve said before. You can do this by leaping off the castle rampart or just finding any of the exits and walking west. Either way you do it, on this field, you’ll meet Maleigh Marais. The best way to kill them is to lure them away from the field so that you don’t have to worry about the giant monster behind. Also, use a long weapon if you can, like the Golden Halberd (ideally two-handed), so that you can keep your distance. Maleigh casts poison clouds at you, but also wields the Antspur Rapier, which inflicts Scarlet Rot. When you kill this enemy, you’ll get both the sword and the armor.
Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
