Resident Evil 7 Tape-1 Desolation Trailer
Capcom have released a new trailer for Resident Evil 7, called Tape-1 Desolation. The new video showcases the change in tone compared to the previous two games, the accent now on horror instead of action.
Although the previous two installments were mostly about shooting a bunch of zombies, number 7 is going back to the series’ roots. You’ll have to conserve ammo, mix plants and sneak around as much as possible. The video shows a person investigating a dilapidated house, with zombies only being hinted at. It’s not much, but it looks promising.
There’s also a demo up on the Playstation Store, which is meant to give you a taste of what’s to come. The section from the demo won’t be in the game proper once it’s released, so if you’re a fan, you should try it out while it’s still available. Another thing PS4 users are getting while others aren’t is VR support. The game is going to launch with built-in Playstation VR features.
Resident Evil 7 is going to launch on January 24th 2017, on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4. Preorders are already open, but you won’t get much if you buy it now – earlier unlocking of the hardest difficulty, and a “special item set” once the game is live.
It also reveals the game’s release date.
