Dying Light Content Drop #0 Live On PC, Coming Soon to PS4, Xbox One
Dying Light Content Drop #0 is now live on PC. It will be coming soon to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. To access the new content, be sure to update your game. There is one additional piece of free gear that is not part of the DLC, but you can acquire it nonetheless.
Drop #0 Content Details
Drop #0 is a tease of the year-long free DLC content plan. The first out of ten DLCs starts on the first month of fall. Other than the stuff listed down below, players can also expect to see new locations, new mysteries to solve, more in-game events, etc. Techland urges players who have good ideas about future DLC items to share it with the developers on their official forums. Here are the contents of Content Drop #0.
- New Enemies: Heavy Armed Soldiers – These are no ordinary thugs but trained professionals – well equipped and dead bent on completing their mission. They have infiltrated the Old Town so don’t let your guard down.
- New Zombie: Mutated Goon – Test your combat skills against a formidable mutated goon that has appeared somewhere in Harran’s Old Town.
- New Outfit: Player Skin: Hunted – Collect Requisition Packs dropped by soldiers to unlock this brand-new outfit for Kyle Crane.
There is also a new exclusive weapon, the Harran Military Rifle. It doesn’t seem like it is a part of Drop #0, as the requirements you need to fulfill in order to get it don’t appear to be linked with the free DLCs.
To get the Harran Military Rifle, you’ll need to register for free at Gemly, Techland’s distribution platform. You can find the link here.
Content Drop #0 is the start of a year-long plan to release ten free DLCs. It is now officially called the “10-in-12” program. Tymon Smektala, the game’s producer, shared his feelings about it just several days ago, where he tells us about the 10 DLCs content coming in the next twelve months.
The next free DLC, Drop #1, will be out in September, according to the information provided at the Drop #0 page. Drops #2-10 are expected to come in 2017 and 2018, over a twelve-month time period. In that case, we can expect to see the last one, Drop #10, sometime in September 2018.
