Romance has always been one of the most enjoyable things about any game that features them. Naturally, Dragon’s Dogma was no exception to this rule. And now, as the release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is fast approaching, fans of the series are wondering – is romance going to be a part of the sequel as well? And if so, which characters are going to be romancable? In this guide, we are going to go over all of the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Romance Options Speculations.
Will Dragon’s Dogma 2 Have Romance?
Currently, we don’t know if the game is going to feature romances or not. The devs have neither confirmed nor denied romancable characters in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Though, as romances where present in DD1, we can expect the system to likewise return in the sequel as well. The way that romances worked in the original game was tied to Affinity. This is a stat that you can raise with pretty much every NPC in the game by giving them gifts and doing quests for them. The existance of gift items in DD2 strongly hints towards romances being available there as well.
Who Can You Romance in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Again, this is currently just speculation, and we most likely won’t know who is romancable or not until the game is released. Also, we don’t yet know if the game is going to take the route of Dragon’s Dogma 1 with making everyone romancable, or only a core team of several characters – like it works in most CRPGs. If we had to guess, the second option is more likely here. After all, it’s far easier to make a good romance for a few special characters. The ones that are prominently featured on the game’s website – Ulrika, Nadina, Brant, Disa, Menella, Wilhelmina, Sven, Glyndwr, Doireann, Lennart, and Sigurd are the most likely romance option candidates here.
