To approach the false Sovran in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 The Stolen Throne, you basically just have to follow what the quest tells you, up until the moment where you explicitly get the task to approach the fake ruler. That’s when things get kinda tricky, but we’ll get to that. The first thing you need to know is that you cannot come close to the Sovran in the palace, try as you might. Instead, attend the masquerade as you’re told and discover what you can about Allard . Then, make your escape through the Vernworth Palace Courtyard in the south of the complex, where you’ll run into Wilelmina. The next step in the Stolen Throne quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is to actually approach the false Sovran, which you still do in an indirect way. Since you have the Myrmecoleon Card, an item that lets you into the bordelrie, that’s where we go. The establishment is called the Rose Chateau, and you can see its location in the screenshots below. Go inside and climb the large stone staircase. After that, find the wooden winding staircase and get to the upper floor. Walk through the red curtains in front of you, then hang a right and approach the other set of curtains. This will trigger a cutscene, in which Wilhelmina will help you reveal some huge secrets. after that, report back to Captain Brant.
