Where to Find Bonyu Special Training in DBZ Kakarot – How to Unlock?

To find the Bonyu Special Training section of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, you have to go to Capsule Corporation. Go to the same place where you find Bulma. In the corner opposite from her, you’ll find a woman with purple hair in a lab coat, called simply Female Researcher. Speak to her, and you’ll get the different options for interacting with the Special Training. Said options are Modify, Train, and Special Training. Modify lets you upgrade the room using various materials, Training lets you complete different challenges (the higher the level of the room, the higher the level of the challenge ), while Special Training will pit you against Mysterious Warrior Bonyu.

As for when it unlocks, it’s pretty late in the game. If you’ve preordered the game, you’ll get “early access” to the Special Training with Bonyu. We got it in Saga 3, aka the Android (Cell) Saga; specifically, after Episode 2. However, we did preorder, meaning that we got it early. If you didn’t, then it’ll probably become available later still. The bottom line is: keep playing through the main story until the game tells you that Special Training has been unlocked.

Incidentally, when you defeat Bonyu for the first time, you’ll get her Soul Emblem. She passes best either in the Adult or the Training Community Boards. Ultimately, it’s up to you where you’re gonna put her, but one thing is for sure: she’s a very powerful asset.

How to Upgrade Dragon Ball Z Special Training Room – Tough Enough Achievement

To upgrade, aka modify, the Training Room in DBZ Kakarot, you’ll have to invest a ton of materials (some of them rare), money and other stuff. For example, for Training Room Level 2: Reinforced Flooring, you’ll need 4500 Zeni, 5 D Medals, one Sturdy Bolt S, and one Refined Iron. So, yeah; you’ll have to do a fair amount of grinding. Or, go and collect Dragon Balls to ask Shenron for money and rare items, which isn’t that much of a time saver, to be honest.

As for the Tough Enough achievement, all you have to do to get it is play the tenth challenge in the Training Room to get it; the normal Training, not the Special Training. That’s it. You don’t have to bother with the other training. Less waste of healing items, I suppose. It’s up to you whether you want to complete them all or just the one. I’m just gonna mention that every challenge gives you some nifty rewards.
