The Division New Map Info Surfaces
There’s a new video on Youtube, discussing the map in The Division. Of course, the question of size comes up, but there’s also talk of density, safe places, The Dark Zone, missions and more.
According to the video, the map seems like it will contain most of Manhattan, but not much outside of it. It won’t be the biggest place we’ve seen in a game, but it’s supposedly packed with places to visit and things to do. A lot of the buildings can be entered, while some even have roof access. Activities will be divided into missions and encounters, which differ in objectives but also in rewards given.
Ubisoft have confirmed that Brooklyn won’t be available in the game at launch. The decision feels like a low blow, since much of the footage shown earlier was from Brooklyn. It will probably make an appearance as paid DLC, post-launch. The publisher has already said they plan on supporting the game with both free and paid DLC after it’s out.
Tom Clancy’s The Division will be released on March 8th, on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
