Division 2 Deploy Main & Secondary Rappel Ropes at Theater

Deploy main & secondary rappel rope is one of the main mission objectives in The Division 2. You’ll get it after talking to Ortega at the Theater settlement. In order to complete it, you’ll have to find and interact with the two anchor points, which will allow you to lower the ropes and use them to get down. If you’re having trouble finding them, this guide will help you deploy main & secondary rappel rope at Theater in Division 2.

Main & secondary rappel rope locations

The main rope is on the top level. Stand near the vendor and look towards the brownish yellow brick building to the north. There’s a piece of yellow cloth on the railing in one of the corners – that’s where the rope is. Approach and interact with it, and the objective will be crossed out. The secondary rope is on the lower level. Use the stairs to go down and look for it to the right of the ramp leading to the northern building.

It’s supposed to be a pretty simple task, but the game doesn’t mark the ropes and they’re not really that visible from a distance. If you don’t know exactly what it is you’re looking for and exactly what it looks like, you might stumble a bit here. We’ve wasted some time with this in the beta, but we expected the issue would be fixed before the game launches. As you can see, it’s still there.

We’re going to keep playing the game, and if we run into any other issue like this, we’re going to write about it, so stay tuned. In the meantime, if you’re experiencing technical difficulties, you might want to take a look at our Division 2 errors & problems guide – it’s a growing list of known issues and their solutions.
