Master Key Location | Dishonored 2

Master Key is an item in Dishonored 2. It’s used to open up a large part of Stilton’s Manor during Mission 7: A Crack in the Slab.

You won’t be able to progress through the mission until you’ve found it, but it’s very well hidden. You can easily miss it, and spend hours roaming the mansion without success. In this guide, we’re going to show you the Dishonored 2 master key location.

If you’re bad with names, that’s the mission with the decrepit mansion, where you get to jump back and forth through time. It’s filled with secrets, like places that can be accessed only at a certain time, or items appearing and disappearing depending on when you are. It’s a lot of fun, but finding the key can be tedious – it’s small, unimposing and put in a place where you wouldn’t expect to find it. The game also doesn’t mark it for you, so you won’t find any help there.

In our case, we got stuck while doing the Find the combination to the study room objective. The combination is not hard to find, but it’s behind the door opened by the master key, which means there’s no progressing until you’ve found it.

First of all, make sure you’re in the past – that’s where the key is. When you enter the mansion, turn left after the pile of suitcases and bags, and follow the hallway to the dining room with the two large statues. You’ll find the key on a stool by the dining table.

Once you have it, you’ll be able to enter a previously inaccessible part of the manor, as well as get to a key character in the present. All in all, it’s a big thing, and it’s required in order to beat the mission.

The key isn’t needed at all it was the last thing i got after seeing all the plot the area had to offer. Didn’t think to go in that area for the bone charm up the top though.
