Diablo 4 Character Deleted or Not Showing Fix

The Diablo 4 early access is finally here, to the delight of fans around the globe. And while it has arrived with a plethora of content to explore, it has unfortunately also come with a myriad of issues. One such issue that is currently worrying many players is that their Diablo 4 characters are disappearing. If your Diablo IV character is gone, should you be worried? Well, yes and no. While we can not yet confirm anything, this is most likely a server-related issue. All your characters, items, progress, and everything else, are stored on the Battle.net servers, not on your local console or PC. Hence, all your characters are there as well.

And during the first day of the early access weekend, servers are literally “burning” due to an overwhelming amount of players. Everyone is trying to play the game. This is causing servers to crash and behave weirdly. Hence, they sometimes may incorrectly show that your characters are gone. However, your Diablo IV characters are not deleted. They are simply not showing due to server issues. Try logging out and back into Battle.net / Diablo 4 to see if that helps. If not, wait for a couple of hours and try again. If nothing happens, then your best course of action is to contact Blizzard’s customer support and tell them your problem. Hopefully, they will be able to help you and fix the issue.
