Destiny Inferno Playlists Going Live
Later today, Destiny players will be treated with a new addition to the Crucible – Inferno playlists. The first game mode to be unveiled is Inferno Control, “a PVP experience that’s more about basic gunplay and achieving more with less”, according to senior designer Leif Johansen.
The most important thing about Inferno is that you won’t have access to your Tracker.
There have been other changes, too: the scoring has been simplified by removing as many scoring events as they could get away with. This should make it more about landing kills and playing the objective.
There will be only one set of Heavy crates per match, and dead opponents won’t drop purple bricks. The developers expect this will make people play more conservatively with Heavy ammo. Since the radar is off, it will also be much easier to flank an enemy on a Heavy spree.
Inferno will be played on maps both new and old. Here’s what will be in the rotation:

If you haven’t already, you’ll have to rely on your knowledge of the map, positioning, flanking, proper teamwork and your hearing. The developers hope it will also reduce the usefulness of Supers and Heavies.
