Destiny 2 Worldline Zero Exotic Sword Shown Off in Warmind Trailer

Destiny 2 is finally getting an exotic sword! Worldline Zero is its name, and it has debuted in the launch trailer for Warmind, the expansion that’s coming later today. The video shows it off in a scene where a guardian uses it to deftly slice through a group of Hive, but there’s really not much info on it. That won’t stop the more ardent guardians from snooping around and doing a frame by frame analysis, though.

It’s got a blue sparkle to it, so we presume it’s going to be Arc damage. Maybe it’s going to allow you to switch between the three types of elemental damage, but they would’ve probably shown that off in the trailer. Or maybe we’ll get another two – one for each kind. What’s really interesting is the moveset – probably because it’s the only thing we see. Destiny swords are usually broad, long, Medieval Europe types, more for bashing than for slashing. This one’s kinda tiny in comparison. Swift, too. A lot of carefully choreographed moves in there, not just slamming the thing into an opponent.

No word on the perks yet, or the blurb, or anything else for that matter – but all of that’s about to change. As soon as the expansion goes live, you can expect dataminers to dig through the files, so we’ll know everything there is to know about this one by the end of the day. If it’s not a reward from the new raid lair, somebody’s probably going to get it by this time tomorrow. It’s not like there’s that much to do in the expansion anyway. Some new story missions, the horde mode activity Bungie seems to be so proud of, several new strikes and that’s pretty much it. Unless it’s a random drop, in which case, well… who’s to tell.
