Destiny 2 Warmind Raid Lair Spire of Stars Launch Date & Time Announced

The launch time and date of the new Spire of Stars raid lair in the Destiny 2 Warmind DLC has been revealed. The event will start next week on Friday, bright and early in the morning (if you’re Pacific Time, that is). The Spire of Stars will take place on the Leviathan, and, unfortunately, definitely won’t be a full raid.

Destiny 2 Warmind Raid Lair Launch Date & Time Announced

Bungie has announced some more details about the upcoming Warmind DLC in a new post on their website. Among other bits and pieces, we now know when the new raid lair, called Spire of Stars, will launch. It will start on Friday, May 11th, at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time / 7 PM Central European. Nothing particularly shocking there; of course the new raid lair is going to start just before the weekend. The Spire of Stars is yet another part of the Leviathan; those of you that were hoping for a full-on new raid are probably pretty disappointed by this, and I feel you.

Now, we’ve covered most of the new stuff from the upcoming Destiny 2 DLC in our previous Warmind Expansion article; at least, in broad strokes. By now, you probably know about the new story that will happen in Warmind, with the thawing of Rasputin in the Hellas Basin on Mars and Ana Bray. There will also be new Crucible-related stuff with the launch of Season 3, such as maps, heroic strike modifiers, and the like. You’ll also be able to play a new public, player-triggered event, called Escalation Protocol. This is basically a glorified horde mode, where you and your fireteam will have to fight off seven increasingly difficult waves of enemies to earn exclusive weapons and gear.

The Destiny 2 Warmind DLC is coming out next week, on May 8th, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (via Blizzard’s Battle.net). It’s too early to make definite judgement, but for now, it seems to me that Warmind will be a bit of a let-down. I have a feeling that people might have been expecting more from it. We’ll just have to wait until next week to see for certain.
