Destiny 2 Warmind Heroic Strikes Bug - Not Counting For Quest Progress
Warmind heroic strike bug is a recent issue in Destiny 2. You won’t notice it at first – it doesn’t stop you from playing or completing heroic strikes. That doesn’t mean it’s not harmful, though. Those who’ve experienced it are usually working towards a milestone or quest that requires you to complete heroic strikes. Upon completion, they’d notice the counter hasn’t gone up. The game often isn’t counting completed heroic strikes towards quest progress.
Heroic strikes not counting towards quest progress
The issue is at its worst if you’re trying to get the Sleeper Simulant exotic linear fusion rifle. Once of the quest steps, called Warmind’s Glory, tasks you with finishing five heroic strikes. Image the frustration when, after doing five in a row, you notice only one registered.
Reports wary wildly – some claim they’ve had success with Inverted Spire, others have replayed the same strike several times without any luck. Your best bet would be to wait for Bungie to fix the issue. The good news is that they’re aware of it, and are investigating.
We are aware and investigating issues where Strikes may not be tracked correctly for some in game pursuits.

In the meantime, if you can’t help yourself and control the urge to play heroic strikes, Bungie’s support site has some tips that might help. None of them are guaranteed to work, so it’s still a gamble. Your time would be better spent trying to shoot all the Latent Memories strewn across the map, or farming Resonate Stems required for opening the vast number of Sleeper Nodes. Maybe you’d prefer to work on your power level – the launch of the raid lair is just around the corner, and the entrance criteria will be strict. Either way, we suggest waiting this one out, for the sake of your own sanity. That Sleeper Simulant isn’t going anywhere.
