Destiny 2 Phantasmal Fragment Locations

Phantasmal Fragments are a type of item in Destiny 2. They were introduced in the Shadowkeep expansion, and they’re a kind of currency. They’re basically Moon tokens – you will be able to spend them at the Lectern of Enchantment to buy the new faction gear. If you’ve been playing this game for a while, you may already guess how these will be obtained. If not, we’re here to help – in this guide, we’re going to show you a bunch of Destiny 2 Phantasmal Fragment locations.

How to get Phantasmal Fragments?

They’re the rarer of the two currencies, and you won’t be able to find them at every step. Thankfully, there are reliable ways of earning them. First of all, there are the bounties. Both the daily and weekly bounties on the Moon will reward you with Phantasmal Fragments, so make sure you visit the Lectern of Enchantment regularly. Giving rice cake consumables to the jade rabbit statues can also reward you with Phantasmal Fragments. Finally, Nightmare enemies on the Moon have a chance of dropping them.

We’ve heard of other ways as well, but we haven’t had the chance to verify them, like the Nightmare Hunt activity rewarding players with them. Since we haven’t tried it yet, we can’t vouch for this.

Since the uses for this item are limited, you won’t have to worry about getting too many of them. The legendary gear obtainable from the vendor is nice and all, but you might want to train your sights on some of the new exotics instead. For auto rifle users, there’s the Monte Carlo. If you’re big on hand cannons, you could go for Eriana’s Vow – it’s extremely easy to get. There’s also the Pain and Gain exotic quest, but your mileage will vary with this one, mainly depending on how well you can take being the butt of a joke.
