Destiny 2 Not Receiving Bungie Emails
Are you not getting any Bungie emails? You’re not alone! Many Destiny 2 players hoped that the Season 18 update would finally fix one particular issue in regard to emails from the developer which contain various promotional material, surveys, news about the latest updates, statistics, season recaps, and more. However, despite opting into receiving promotional communications from Bungie, the issue is still here. A number of players report that they are still not receiving any Bungie emails following the Season 18 update. Here’s what we know about it.
Destiny 2 Not Receiving Any Bungie Emails Explained
Destiny 2 Season 18, named the Season of Plunder, is finally here. It has arrived with a host of new features, content, updates, and improvements for the player base to enjoy and explore. However, while many players are excited to explore everything the new season has to offer, many other players are disappointed that they are yet again unable to see their season recaps and stats. These things usually arrive via email sent by Bungie. Regardless, for several seasons now, there seems to be a bug which is affecting a number of players, which prevents them to receive any Bungie emails related to Destiny 2.
This essentially cuts them off from participating in the community and sharing the experience with their friends who are also playing the game and sharing their stats. After all, Destiny 2 is an MMO, and the social aspect is an important part of the experience. So, is there a way to fix this? Ultimately, this needs to be fixed by Bungie. Still, there are a few steps you can do. This is in order to make sure that you’ve done everything on your part.
- Go to the “Settings” page on Bungie.net, click on “Email and SMS”, and check if your email is entered correctly.
- Ask for the verification email. Reverified it just to be sure.
- Make sure to check all the boxes in regards to what kind of communication you want to receive.
- Try changing and unchanging settings (uncheck, save settings, then check boxes again and save settings).
- Some email hosts have issues receiving emails from Bungie. Thus, you may need to use a different email.
- Double-check your Spam/Junk folders.
- Add bungie@info.bungie.net to your trusted contacts list in your mail service.
None of these steps will 100% work for fixing the Destiny 2 not receiving Bungie emails issue, but they might help you. Ultimately, this is a widespread issue, and dozens of players are currently reporting about it on Bungie forums. If we find any solution that works 100% of the time, we will make sure to update the article.
