Luna's Howl - How to Unlock Legendary Hand Cannon - Destiny 2
Luna’s Howl Legendary Hand Cannon is an exotic weapon in Destiny 2. The Destiny 2 Luna’s Howl hand cannon is an interesting weapon, especially in the Crucible. Interestingly, the Crucible is exactly where you unlock it. There’s a whole chain of Crucible quests from Shaxx that you have to complete to get the Luna’s Howl hand cannon, including Shock and Denial, Pain and Guilt, and others. Since this gun is pretty fun, here’s our Destiny 2 Luna’s Howl Legendary Hand Cannon guide to show you how to get it.
How to Get Luna’s Howl Destiny 2 Legendary Hand Cannon – Pain & Guilt & Other Quests
To get the Destiny 2 Luna’s Howl Legendary Hand Cannon, you’ll have to do a ton of grinding in the Crucible. The first step in the chain is picking up the quest Shock and Denial from our good friend Shaxx. To complete this quest, you’ll have to complete 10 Crucible matches from the Competitive playlist. The next quest in line is Pain and Guilt, which requires you to get 150 Hand Cannon kills in the Crucible Competitive playlist. Next up is Anger and Bargaining, where you’ll have to get some 200 Solar final blows; again, in the Crucible Competitive playlist.
We’re not done yet. The fourth step in the chain is Depression and Loneliness, and you’ll have to complete 3 Crucible matches from the Rumble playlist. After that, we have The Upward Turn. That will require you to score 200 headshot kills with hand cannons in the Crucible in, you’ve guessed it, the Competitive playlist. Had enough? We’re almost there. The penultimate quest is Reconstruction, where you’ll have to push all the way to the Crucible Glory rank “Fabled”. The last step, Acceptance, requires you to simply report back to Shaxx. This will earn you the Luna’s Howl Legendary Hand Cannon, and also a quest tied to your new weapon.
Luna’s Howl Legendary Hand Cannon Perks in Destiny 2
Luna’s Howl in Destiny 2 has some pretty cool perks. There’s Precision Frame, allowing the gun to fire quickly with high accuracy. There’s also Polygonal Rifling, which increases stability and Drop Mag which does waste ammo, but greatly boosts your reload speed. The next two fun perks are Zen Moment and Magnificent Howl. The first increases the weapon’s stability when causing damage, and the second grants you a short window of bonus damage until your next kill or miss, after landing two precision shots rapidly.
The Legendary Luna’s Howl Hand Cannon also has some interesting tracking perks, if you’re into that sort of thing. It has both a Kill Tracker, adding up your overall kills, and a Crucible Tracker, which tracks the number of people you’ve eliminated there. Which would have been a great asset to have on the quest to get the damned gun, but oh well.
