Destiny 2 Limited Edition T-Shirt to Help Australia Announced
Bungie is joining the efforts to help Australia. They’re coming up with a limited-edition T-shirt, the design of which is yet to be revealed at the time of writing. All proceeds from the sales are going to go to WIRES, a wildlife rescue organization, and the New South Wales Rural Fire Service.
If you’ve been living on Earth lately and have been anywhere near a screen or speaker, you’ve heard about what’s going on in Australia. It’s a natural disaster of proportions I’ve certainly never seen. Of course, celebrities and companies have started donating money to save what can be saved. This also includes gaming companies and gamers in general, of course. And now, Bungie is joining the efforts as well. They’re coming up with a limited-edition T-shirt, which will be available on the Bungie Store and Bungie Store EU from January 16th to February 18th.
As Sr. Foundation Manager Christine Edwards wrote in the blog post: “We are developing a limited-edition T-shirt fundraising campaign to support both Australia’s firefighting efforts and the country’s animal rescue and conservation efforts. The T-shirt, which comes with an exclusive Destiny 2 ‘Star Light, Star Bright’ emblem redemption code with purchase, will be available for pre-order on the Bungie Store and Bungie Store EU between Thursday, January 16 and Tuesday, February 18 at 9 a.m. Pacific, ending with the weekly reset and the end of Crimson Days. The team is currently hard at work on the T-shirt design and we’ll share a preview early next week.”
As for which organizations the proceeds are going to go to, they will be split between two, both of them doing great work. The first one is WIRES, which is the largest wildlife rescue organization in Australia. The second half is going to the NSW Rural Fire Service, who are fighting some of the worst fires, in New South Wales.
