Destiny 2 Insight Terminus - Nightfall Strike Ordeal

Insight Terminus is one of the strikes in Destiny 2. It’s available as a Nightfall Ordeal this week, with a bunch of modifiers that make it a pretty grueling experience. It’s a pretty heavy affair even normally, with lots of mini bosses and hordes of regular enemies, but this time around, it has even more elite enemies, so be prepared. This guide is going to show you exactly what to expect and how to complete Destiny 2 Insight Terminus as a Nightfall Ordeal.

Insight Terminus Nightfall Ordeal

The adept version has a recommended power level of 750, and only has the Empath modifier, which makes you take more melee damage in exchange for a better radar. Hero comes with a 920 barrier to entry, and adds Champions: Unstoppable and Champions: Barrier, as well as Kargen’s Stratagem. The first two mean there will be enemies you can’t defeat without the Barrier and Unstoppable weapon mods. The last one makes you take more void and environmental damage.

Legend requires 950 light, and adds even more modifiers – Match Game and Equipment Locked. The former makes enemy shields highly resistant to unmatched elemental damage, and the latter prevents you from swapping out gear during the strike. Finally, master difficulty requires you to have at least 980 power, and adds Attrition, which impedes your regeneration, and Champions: Mob, which increases the number of champions you’ll encounter.

The main thing to focus on here are the weapon mods – you won’t be able to finish anything except adept if you don’t have the Unstoppable and Barrier mods. The next hurdle comes at legend difficulty – you’ll have to tune your loadout before starting. We recommend covering all three elements – one via subclass, one via energy weapon and one using the power weapon slot. Either that, or using something like Hard Light, which allows you to switch elements on the fly.

It’s a difficult strike, that’s for sure, but we’ve seen people solo the master difficulty. Just keep your distance at all times, use cover and leave grenades and supers for situations when you can’t escape to safety quickly enough.
