Destiny 2 Free to Play Weekend on PlayStation 4 Starts June 29th

If you’re a PlayStation 4 gamer, and you’ve been wanting to give Destiny 2 a try, this weekend will be your chance. The game will offer you a free-to-play trial, with a great amount of content from the base game at your disposal. The free trial is going to start on Friday, June 29th at 12:01 AM PDT, and end on Sunday, July 1st, at 5 PM PDT. Even though the free weekend is going to start on Friday, you can already pre-load it now. And, as is always the case with these free weekend things, any progress that you make over the weekend will carry over if you decide to buy the full game.

So what exactly will you have access to during the Destiny 2 free-to-play weekend on the PlayStation 4? For one, you’ll get to play the campaign in its entirety. You’ll also have access to all of the game mode, including the PvP Crucible. And, of course, you’ll be able to earn all of the weapons and other gear that Destiny 2 has to offer. You’ll also get to enjoy all of the improvements made to Destiny 2 since launch, including the Go Fast update. The announcement is kinda fuzzy when it comes to the topic of the two DLCs that have launched so far, Curse of Osiris and Warmind. In fact, there’s no mention of them at all, which leads me to assume that you won’t get access to them. I could well be wrong about that, of course.
