Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC Coming In Early September

You’re still not properly over being disappointed in Warmind, and there’s a new Destiny 2 expansion on the horizon. It’s called Forsaken, and it’s going to be released on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 on September 4th. It’s going to send you back to the Reef, the home town of the Awoken. If that doesn’t excite you, you might be dead inside.

Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC Coming In Early September

So what’s new? Well, two new patrol location – the Tangled Shore and the Dreaming City – as part of the redesigned Reef. You should also expect new weapons and armor – actually, scratch that. You should expect old weapons and armor, from the previous game, reskinned and billed as completely new. That’s more like it.

You should also prepare yourself for a new end game activity, called Gambit. It’s some kind of hybrid PvP/PvE, both competitive and cooperative, epic battle for all kinds of playZzZZZzzzzZZz… WHAT? No, of course I’m not sleeping. I’m just resting my eyelids. Anyway, the new game mode will be playable at Bungie’s E3 stand in LA, in around a week. If you consider yourself a true fan, you’re going to fly out and try it.

The most interesting thing about Forsaken is that everybody is going to have to pay for it. Technically, everybody had to pay for Warmind as well, but a bunch of people bought it as part of the deluxe edition and/or season pass. If they hadn’t, the sales numbers would’ve probably been ostensibly lower. It’s going to be exciting to see how much players this one manages to draw back, and at what ludicrous price point. And make no mistake – it’s going to be ludicrous.

We should know more later in the day, and we’ll certainly keep you posted as soon as there’s more news.
