Destiny 2 Dreambane Armor Set - Essence Cleansing Quests
Dreambane armor set is one of the new outfits in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. It’s a legendary set with variants for each class, and you can get it by completing several of the essence cleansing quests on the Moon. Each of the pieces has random roll perks, but the pools contain some pretty sweet buffs that help when fighting against Nightmares. If you don’t want to complete all the quest, but focus on the ones that result in these pieces, keep reading our Destiny 2 Dreambane armor set guide, and we’ll tell you everything you need to know.
Dreambane Helm, Cowl, Hood
To get the head piece, you’ll have to cleanse the Essence of Pride. That’s the one that requires you to kill Nightmares in lost sectors almost anywhere but on the Moon. Since not all lost sectors on other planets have Nightmares, this can take a while if you go in blind. If you want to speed it up, check out our Destiny 2 Essence of Pride guide, and we’ll show you where to go.
Dreambane Gauntlets, Grips, Gloves
For the arms, you will need to cleanse the Essence of Isolation. This one’s pretty easy – you just have to defeat Fallen enemies on the Moon. The best place to do this is in Archer’s Line, around the building in the north of the area, near the lost sector.
Dreambane Plate, Vest, Robes
The chest piece is awarded to those who cleanse the Essence of Fear. It requires you to kill Hive enemies on the Moon. Pretty easy, but there’s a nasty bug that sometimes stops people from completing the mission. If you want to know how to solve it, check out our Essence of Fear guide.
Dreambane Greaves, Strides, Boots
The footwear is obtainable by completing the quest for the Essence of Anguish. It’s pretty simple – you just have to complete some bounties for Eris Morn. Any bounties will do – even if you’ve completed the first set of dailies on the Moon, you will be able to buy more.
Dreambane Mark, Cloak, Bond
The oft-forgotten slot can be filled with a Dreambane item by cleansing the Essence of Despair. This one’s the easiest of them all, as it tasks you with completing activities on the Moon. Pretty much everything counts – looting chests, collecting resources, completing public events, lost sectors and patrols.
How to get Dreambane armor back if you dismantle it accidentally
A number of people have complained about accidentally dismantling a piece of the set. Fear not, you can get each piece back either from Eris or the Lectern of Enchantment, but you’ll first have to gather the rest of the set. Once you’ve cleansed all five essences, each of the pieces will become available for purchase.
